A few days ago, I read a story that I deeply disagreed with the entire premise of. And so I wrote this short story to cleanse my palate, as it were.

All my attempts at writing a fourth story for that series either ended up really weak or turned into straight up erotica, and this site is not the place for that sort of thing. So I'm leaving it at just the three stories, at least for now.
So, the story I actually wrote for this week is something entirely different. I would say something like 'with apologies to certain types of nerds', but honestly, they would probably just find this funny.
Change of plans.

I was going to upload a fourth and final story in the ongoing series I've been writing, but I wasn't doing so hot today, and I just couldn't get it to work the way I wanted it to. Might get back to it next week, but for now, here's something completely different.
It is a known failing of mine.

If I'd known last week's story would have a sequel when I first wrote it, I'd have named the female lead differently.

My weekend is going to be bookended by a pair of 7+ hour car journeys, so... yeah.
On the positive side, much of the time between those car journeys should be delightful, so I won't complain.
I totally have an excuse.

There's a totally valid reason for why this week's story is so short. It definitely isn't because I tired myself out by spending every available moment of free time out in the sun on my bicycle. Trust me.
As for why the story is made of pure, concentrated cynicism... Iunno. Don't really have an excuse for that one.
